Digital Pit & Crack Depth Gauge is a precision instrument useful in measurement of depth of pits, cracks, scratches, corrosion and craters on the external, and in some case the internal, surfaces of steel structures, pipes and concrete. Pit & Crack Depth Gauge Kit includes gauge, carrying case, glass mirror sample, mini allen wrench, battery and operating instructions.
It is in compliance with corrosion allowances for equipment wherever corrosion affects materials, such as pipeline, vessels, piping, storage tanks, oil country tubular goods, drill pipe, bottom hole assemblies, bridges and structures, shipping, concrete, and aircraft components. Due to the versatility, many of our Pit Gauges have other uses, such as wear measurement, Weld Alignment, Structural Fit-up, etc. Western Instruments Dial Pit Gauges allow the Corrosion Inspector to conveniently measure Pit Depth or material loss in areas of Weight-Loss Corrosion.
It is equivalent to PCWI Metric Pit and Crack Depth.
